A wardrobe must-own; The New Yorker Motor Jacket is our classic leather motor jacket with a design twist. The light weight leather is a new soft lambskin leather quality made in Turkey by a sustainably certified tannery. This season's colour was part of our dead-stock program to rescue excess leathers from landfills. This deep, rich tone of red is called Rhythmic Red and pops against the contrasting black hardware.

    Brianna (Model one) is 178cm (5’10”) tall with a 85 (33”) bust, a 64cm (25”) waist and 90cm (35”) hips.

    Designer Fitting Notes: We designed the New Yorker to be that easy classic leather jacket. This motor jacket fits true to size. We suggest trying on your standard size to start. The sleeves have more room compared to our Greenwich Jacket and the body does too. If the jacket fits snug then it's the right size for you as leather will 'give' with time and mould to your shape to make it feel like your very own bespoke jacket. If the jacket is tight then it's too small and would suggest sizing up. Look at the shoulders seam to align with your shoulder as another sign of the right fit. Note leather will give about a half of size over the lifetime of wear.

    Designed in Bondi Beach, Australia

     

    Sourced this super paper-thin lambskin leather from a gold standard sustainably certified tannery by the Leather Working Group based in Turkey. The hide is a by-product and was sourced from Turkey.  West 14th neck and swing tag labels are developed using Oeko-Tex Standard 100% organic cotton certified. 

     

    Processed using a chrome base tanning process to develop this leather. 

     

    Recycled material is used in the trimming details for this style. Perma Core ECO 100 by A&E is an ethically manufactured, industrial sewing thread, featuring fully recycled polyester. 

    Manufactured this heirloom piece in Guangdong Province, China with quality control conducted in Hong Kong by our long term boutique manufacturing partners.

     

    Shipped in compostable satchels to our warehouse partners in Ingleburn, NSW Australia and then directly to our women around the globe.

    My Fourth New Yorker!

    If ever a jacket was to be your first from West14th, I would recommend that the New Yorker Jacket was the first to choose. It epitomises style, class and above all else - Quality. I showed one of mine to a recent visitor to my home, who literally gasped at how beautiful and stylish this jacket was. It was a New Yorker that was my first purchase from West14th and now I'm on my fourth! The colour red on this jacket is stunning, yet rather toned down, especially looking great with the black metal hardware. As usual, it fits like a glove and looks a million dollars, whilst feeling so incredibly soft like all of the items from this brand. This is the perfect classic style of jacket that will look great on everybody, whatever your age. I could go one about how great this jacket is, yet instead, I would highly recommend that you simply try one for yourself and delve into this most wonderful world and family that is West14th.
