Personal Mantra // Do what you love and love what you do!
We were lucky to grab a coffee with Rebecca Laurey, the brilliant mastermind behind fashion blog Raspberry & Rouge, in Bondi. Rebecca was fresh off the plane from Los Angeles; one of the many stops on her round-the-world tour which was after her trip to Paris. (photos featured here).

W14TH: Walk us through a typical day working on Raspberry & Rouge?
REBECCA: When I’m not travelling, I try to keep up a regime up as “normal” as possible. This means trying to work on office hours, getting up early with my espresso in bed - made by my man - then shower and breakfast, before setting up my “desk” on my living room table. I usually have several meetings throughout the day, all-over the city, so I try to get as much done as I can before leaving. Meetings usually take longer than anticipated to it’s good to calculate that extra half hour in. Since I travel so much, I always love to have dinner at home - either with my boyfriend, family or friends. I’m a very homey person; I tend to see cooking as a therapeutic closure of my working day.
W14TH: Describe your style in 3 words.
REBECCA: Grungy, casual and minimalistic.
W14TH: Where’s your favourite place to shoot fashion editorial?
REBECCA: Los Angeles, the light over there is so freaking beautiful!
W14TH: What’s currently on repeat on your playlist?
REBECCA: I love the Magician; this DJ makes a playlist every so many weeks, so something new every single time. It's a house mixed with pop - love that!
W14TH: You’re currently on a world tour, what is your favourite city & why?
REBECCA: My favorite city will always be New York, although LA is sorta stealing my heart right now. You don't have to worry about the weather at all! And for a Dutchie that's something very important - as we never know what it's gonna do over in Amsterdam.
W14TH: Where do you find inspiration for Raspberry & Rouge?
REBECCA: Everywhere! Mostly my travels, talking to so many new people and visiting new places, it just gives me so much renewed energy to be better at what I do everyday.
